This Pinot Noir has been reserved from the rest of Byington Estate vineyard due to the distinct individual character and westward facing location of Block 4. The terroir creates fruit that is earthy and robust, adding body and elegance to this Santa Cruz Mountains wine. It has dark cherry fruit on the nose with a lingering finish on the palate. Fermentation and maturation in 100% French oak for 14 months enhanced its flavor and complexity. Enjoy now or age 4 to 6 years.
