In 1980, 3 ½ acres of Chardonnay from Clone-17, often called the “Robert Young Clone,” were planted at 2000 ft. elevation in the Harrison Block of Tin Cross Vineyard. Today, this fruit produces ultra premium wines that have helped put the Pine Mountain-Cloverdale Peak AVA on the map. This wine features a rich full body, fresh fruitiness, and oak flavors, reminiscent of a lemon bar with a healthy dusting of powdered sugar. Pair with seafood, steamed or grilled vegetables, and cream sauce pastas.
