Rising to 2,450 feet above the Alexander Valley and first planted to vine in 1855, Tin Cross Vineyards is one of the oldest vineyards in California. Our sustainable farming methods honor the legacy of this historic vineyard and allow the distinctive terrier to shine through. It enjoys warmer nights and cooler days giving our vines a long, consistent growing season for slow, full ripening of the fruit. Our Cabernet Sauvignon as well as our other varietals struggle to establish roots in the rocky soils of our dramatic slopes, causing beneficial stress that yields smaller clusters of tiny berries with uncommonly concentrated character. This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the high elevation Maxwell Block of Tin Cross Vineyard. Offering classic flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, dark fruit, and dry herbs. Enjoy it now or cellar for several years, either way it’s the perfect food companion.
